Senior Development Geophysicist                                                    April’ 2010-July’ 2014

  • One of the key geophysicists in a multi-disciplinary team, responsible for developing one of the biggest gas fields and several other satellite gas fields in deep water in Krishna Godavari basin, India, with responsibilities of seismic data interpretation and reservoir characterization.
  • Extensive experience in seismic attribute and AVO analysis for ascertaining the hydrocarbon bearing potential of prospects and identifying possible associated risks.
  • Carried out wavelet estimation, well to seismic tie and synthetic seismogram generation.
  • Experience in performing simultaneous inversion leading to significant improvements in reservoir definition and delineation leading to effective field development planning.
  • Extensive experience in velocity modeling using seismic velocities, time-depth relations, picks & surfaces and depth conversion.
  • Supervised and unsupervised waveform classification using different seismic and inversion attributes for facies identification, continuity and distribution.
  • Deterministic and probabilistic volumetric estimation for both pre-drill prospects and post-drill discoveries.
  • Carried out subsurface risk and uncertainty identification, statement and mitigation.
  • Proposed appraisal and/or development wells in deep water clastic reservoirs.
  • Carried out commerciality evaluation of discoveries and preparation of Commerciality and Development plans.
