About Me

I was born and raised in Vienna, Austria, and I moved to the United States in 2008. I received my B.S. in Environmental, Earth, and Ocean Science from the University of Massachusetts in 2011. During the past 5 years, I dissolved igneous rocks from the East African Rift Valley and performed a subsequent chemical analysis using an ICP-MS (Undergraduate Research, 2010-2011), I reconstructed the Holocene climate in the northeastern United States using stable isotopes (current research), and I completed a summer internship with a Uranium exploration company (Summer of 2012). Furthermore, I assisted Dr. Kenneth Sims with his research on the Ra/Rn disequilibrium in hot springs at Yellowstone National Park during the fall of 2011.
