I completed my undergraduate career at the University of Delaware, where I got the opportunity to work with several groups helping to support their research.
Much of this work was looking at near shore and coastal procesess with Dr. Art Trembanis, head of the CSHEL Lab at the University of Delaware and working at the Field Research Facility for the Army Corps of Engineers. Check out their pages, both groups are always up to something neat!
Post graduation and prior to coming to the University of Wyoming, I worked for three years as geologist for an environmental consulting company called Greenstar Environmental Solutions LLC. Our worked focused on remediating environmental issues, specializing in contaminated groundwater.
For me the expirience truly opened my eyes to the impact humans can have on the environment - which got me thinking about the largest environmental problems in general (anthropogenic climate change).
Moral of the story is don't pollute if you can avoid it, but if you do call Greenstar and they will help you out!
