About Me

Growing up in the Blue Ridge Mountains of southwest Virginia my passion for understanding the natural sciences was sparked at a young age. In the spring of 2015 I received my Bachelors of Science in Environmental Science with a focus on Soil and Water Science from Montana State University. Following my undergraduate work I decided to pursuse a PhD in Geology working with Dr. Cliff Riebe. During my doctorate work I will be working at the Southern Sierra Critical Zone Observatory (SSCZO). The SSCZO is part of the larger Critical Zone Network which facilitates interdisciplinary reserach with collaborations between multiple institutions and research sites. At the SSCZO I will be working to understand regolith formation, chemical weathering, and erosion rates.
